This year is looking to be pretty great musically. This list features artists who have either confirmed they are releasing music this year or are heavily rumored to be releasing this year so far. We have chosen 15 of those to write about along with the list of several others. Check it out below and be sure to tell us what you’re anticipating this year as well.
Fall Through - ‘TBA’
This band just had a winter tour with Start Today and from the live videos I saw they are primed to make some big waves. Nothing is out yet, but I anticipate we’ll get something official this year.
0 Miles Per Hour - ‘EP’
The band has an EP coming out soon through Armageddon Records. The first single is fantastic. I suspect the entire EP will be great.
Blue Deputy - ‘TBA’
The band has been teasing demos. The most recent demo clip sounds fantastic.
ASkySoBlack - ‘Touch Heaven’
This is shaping up to be a great debut album. I think it will be a big statement album from the band.
Azshara - ‘TBA’
The demo was great. This release will see the band partner with DAZE so I expect it to make some waves.
Birthday Dad - ‘TBA’
This album has top 10 of the year vibes from the teaser clips I’ve heard so far.
see you. - ‘TBA’
This is one of my favorite new bands. Their debut single was great. I can’t wait to hear what they do next.
Camp Trash - ‘TBA’
This band has only released great songs. I anticipate their sophomore album to continue the trend.
Honor Choir - 'TBA'
The first two songs from this band are really good. The band said they have quite a few songs so I'm really excited to see what they do.
Say It Anyway - ‘TBA’
They have been teasing new music. Their first single with their new vocalist was awesome. I think they’ll continue to build on their momentum.
The Casper Fight Scene - ‘Self-Titled’
This is one of the best emo bands of the last few years. I’m excited they will finally release their new album this year.
The Ataris - ‘TBA’
Kris Roe has been in the studio recording. He’s teasing 7 inches with the album to follow. Could this be the year we finally get the long-awaited album from The Ataris? I sure hope so!
Anxious - ‘Bambi’
This band has been steadily building off their last album. The singles sound great. I think it’s going to be a huge year for them.
Full Blown Meltdown - ‘TBA’
The sophomore album from FBM could top their debut. I feel like the momentum is there for this album to make some nice waves in the emo scene.
Athousandangelsandseven ‘EP’
The first single was great. It’s coming out on Zegema which has a fantastic track record for discovering new artists. This should be a crusher.
