House Parties - “Hindsight” Song Review

New artists emerge every year in the pop/punk genre and I’m always looking for artists and bands that have something special. Last year when I stumbled upon Rainier. I instantly thought vocalist, Chaney Elaine and Spencer Trinidad had real talent. Slightly later it was announced that members of Rainier. and pop/punk band New Heroes would form a new pop/punk band, House Parties. I was very interested

Hindsight” is the first single from the group. Does the single live up to the hype? The short answer is yes! My instant thought was that this single has top-notch production. It sounds crisp and perfect for spring and summer listening. I really like the way the guitar sounds. The gang vocals are great. The lyrics are solid and the chorus is ultra catchy.

Chaney gives her best vocal performance to date. This is one of the more impressive vocal performances I’ve heard from a new pop/punk band in quite a while. I think this style better suits her abilities than Rainier. did. I hear shades of bands like The Story So Far, Knuckle Puck, Real Friends, Stand Atlantic, and New Found Glory. If you like any of those bands then you’re going to love this.

I think this band could potentially be one of the next big things in pop/punk. In any case, I think this song puts them on the right path. It’s one of the more impressive debut songs from a band that I’ve heard in a while. I think I’ll listen to it a lot this year and I would highly recommend it.
