Today we're sharing Keegan Joyce's single "Cooma" from his debut album,
Snow on Higher Ground. He is best known for his television acting on ABC's
Rake and
Please Like Me and his performance in the musical production,
Once. "Cooma" was written about the town in South East NSW and "
a longing to return to the simplicity of holidaying with the family". Keegan said "
Cooma was the first song I wrote that I liked - basically up until then my music was a mess of cliched rhymes and chords, this was the first that meant something. I’ll probably get sick of it soon but I’ll deal with that when it comes". He has an upcoming show on Thursday, December 1st at Paddington Chapel, Sydney NSW.
