Issue Of The Month: "Venom: Space Knight" Issue 12 (September 2016)

It's time for another issue of the month when I pick one issue from any current running comic series to highlight. For September 2016, I decided to pick "Venom: Space Knight" Issue 12.

For fans of Agent Venom and Flash Thompson this storyline has been a long time coming. A few years ago the previous Venom series wrapped up when the character Mania was introduced. The series ended sort of abruptly and fans were left wondering what exactly happened to her. Then Venom headed off into space and he really hasn't been on Earth much for a while. With the Space Knight series nearing the end fans are finally getting to figure out what happened to Mania as this issue shows Venom return to Earth where he teams up with Spider-Man to track her down. Like I mentioned, this issue and story is a long time coming for fans of Agent Venom and I think the way it's started is interesting and quite a satisfying read after such a long wait. There is also a really neat scene in this issue that shows Spider-Man having an interesting and unique conversation with the Venom symbiote that he's had so much controversy with through the Spider-Man history. If you enjoy the Venom character, Flash Thompson, and have been a fan of this incarnation of Venom then I think this is a must read. On top of the very good story presented here, I also think the artwork is really good. Mania looks awesome in her return and the side-story with Venom's space gang is drawn really well.
