SXSL: A White House Festival of Ideas, Art, & Action
As we reported earlier this month The White House recently announced the first ever South by South Lawn: A White House Festival of Ideas, Art, and Action. It will take place on October 3rd. It will be streamed online via Facebook, The White House, and SXSW's site.
President Obama will have a conversation with Leonardo DiCaprio and Dr. Katharine Hayhoe about climate change and the importance of protecting the environment. DiCaprio's climate documentary, Before the Flood will be screened on the South Lawn. The event will feature discussions, conversations, and interactive exhibits throughout the day. It will also feature musical performances by The Lumineers, Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings, and DJ Beverly Bond. More details are to be announced. Go HERE for more info.
