Post Malone - "Deja Vu" feat. Justin Bieber (Song Review)
Post Malone has received some fair and unfair criticism. One thing is for certain though after "White Iverson" he has become an artist that people are really interested in. I think Justin Bieber falls in the same boat with fair and unfair criticism. Bieber is in a career renaissance riding off the very big wave from his last album Purpose. Malone and Bieber toured together so it's only natural that now we're getting this Post Malone song "Deja Vu" featuring Bieber. I'll have to be honest as much as I've enjoyed some of Post Malone's music here and there I still think, to me, that his biggest and best song to date has been "White Iverson", but I really liked Purpose and went into "Deja Vu" with some pretty high expectations.
First off, the beat kind of has a smooth feeling that slightly reminds me of "Hotline Bling". The beat is layered with some fairly beachy, laid back sounds. Malone sounds strong on this song. Bieber slays his parts. He does a pretty fantastic job. The chorus definitely has potential to get stuck in your head. It got stuck in my mind, at least. The combination of these two creates a pretty noteworthy collaboration for Bieber. It also gives Post Malone what I think is arguably his second best song to date. Check this one out. It has a great end of summer vibe kind of feeling. It's well written and constructed. I think both artists contributed solid performances and compliment each other really nicely. I'm liking this one and it's definitely worth checking out! Find it on iTunes.
