'Star Trek Discovery' - Details Emerge

Showrunner Bryan Fuller shared some teases for the upcoming Star Trek Discovery series on CBS at the Television Critics Association 2016 event. Read the details below.

-There will be more aliens on the crew than in the past.
-They plan to uphold the tradition of having a diverse cast.
-Each episode is a chapter and within each chapter there will be a beginning, middle, and end.
-They ordered 13 episodes and it will premiere in January 2017.
-It will feature a female lieutenant commander.
-It will be set in a pre-Kirk era meaning 10 years before his five-year mission, not before his birth.
-It will take place in the original universe.
-There will be robots.
