The new Tomb Raider movie starring Oscar-winner Alicia Vikander (The Danish Girl, Ex Machina) has been scheduled for a March 16, 2018 release. The film will be based on the video game franchise and will follow a young Lara Croft.
2016 marked 20 years of Tomb Raider. MGM and Warner Bros are co-producing the film.
