Netflix & The CW Reach An Exclusive Agreement

Netflix announced that they have entered an exclusive multi-year content licensing relationship with The CW Network that allows Netflix to have the exclusive U.S. subscription television service for previous seasons of The CW series. This includes current and future series during the duration of the agreement. This also means that Netflix members will be able to stream the seasons beginning eight days after the show's season finale.

Ted Sarandos, Chief Content Officer said, "Netflix members in the US love the great lineup of series from The CW, and we are thrilled to extend the relationship and bring those shows to our members exclusively now, just eight days after their season finales. This is a great step forward with a valued network partner to give fans exactly what they want, when and how they want it".

Scott Koondel, Executive Vice President and Chief Corporate Content Licensing Officer, CBS Corporation said, "this multi-year agreement recognizes the value of our content and it validates the marketplace’s confidence in our studio’s long-term ability to produce high-quality content".

Such shows include Legends of Tomorrow, Supergirl, Arrow, Flash, Jane The Virgin, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, The Vampire Diaries, The 100, The Originals, iZombie, and Reign. It will also include the upcoming shows Frequency, No Tomorrow, and Riverdale.
