Marvel and Disney decided not to split
Avengers: Infinity War into two movies. They still plan to release
Avengers films in 2018 and 2019, but the second film will be different - at least in name. Some are worried that this is bad news for the franchise, but it's most likely changing because the film is not as centrally focused on the original storyline: the Infinity War. Plus they hinted that this change might be coming while they were doing press for
Captain America: Civil War. They explained the movies were very different and seemingly haven't made many changes to the script so we can assume it's supposedly the script that calls for the name change.
Avengers: Infinity War is set to premiere on May 4, 2018. The second untitled
Avengers film will premiere on May 3, 2019.
