Júníus Meyvant is set to release the debut album, Floating Harmonies on Friday, July 8th. It's one of those albums that you can sit back with and enjoy as the instruments and the vocals carry you away. "Be a Man", an instrumental track, starts the album and introduces you to the sounds you will hear on the album. It seems perfect for a TV theme or a getaway scene in a film. "Beat Silent Need" is the natural follow up to the first song and leads up to "Color Decay" which mixes folk and pop in such an interesting way. "Neon Experience" is one of my favorite songs on the album. It's got a neat message and I really enjoy how it slows and builds again near the middle. "Domestic Grace Man" is another favorite. This song is much more folk than pop. I particularly like the way his vocals match perfectly with the instruments on this song. The acoustic song "Pearl In Sandbox" and the catchy, soulful song "Signals" are also standouts on the album. I'd recommend checking this out!
