Today is Ghostbusters Day - How to Celebrate
First, you won't want to miss Jimmy Kimmel Live tonight because the cast of the original Ghostbusters including Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, and Annie Potts will join the new Ghostbusters Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, and Leslie Jones. It's on ABC at 11:35 PM EST and 10:35 PM Central.
Second, more than 800 movie theaters nationwide will be showing a sneak peek of the new film as part of the Fathom Events presentation of the original film. There will be encore showings on June 12th, as well. BBQ Films, in Brooklyn, will show an immersive screening of the classic Ghostbusters called GHOSTBUSTERS HQ which is a 360-degree interactive experience. Viewers at the BBQ Films location will also get the first chance to play the new console game and the mobile game. Info can be found HERE. Some theaters will have sweepstakes and giveaways including ten signed posters through a social media giveaway. Regal Cinemas Crown Club Members who buy a ticket to the original film will be entered to win a trip to the premiere of the new film in L.A. and a gift card.
Third, they will host the Ghostbusters Twitter Mission Sweepstakes that will offer prizes such as Ghostbusters uniforms each week leading up to the release for users who retweet contest messages. (The first contest message is up now!) Find it by following @Ghostbusters.
Ghostbusters premieres on July 15th. The soundtrack also debuts on July 15th, but you can see who some of the artists are now HERE. You can also listen to the title song by Elle King called "Good Girls".
