Astronautalis - "Cut the Body Loose" (QUICK REVIEW)
Astronautalis released his fifth full length album, Cut the Body Loose today! It's hip-hop, indie, and punk rock. It's what you expect and more. John Congleton continues to draw the best production out of him. Astronautalis continues to draw upon his travels and experiences to shape his lyrics and sound. It can be described as his most aggressive album to date. There's a lot of meaning and honesty in his lyrics. He mixes rap and storytelling to craft creative, haunting tales. "Kurt Cobain" is a great opener with its' gritty style and lyrics. "Running Away From God" is fast, furious, and anthemic. "Cut the Body Loose" has an entrancing opening that shows another aspect of Astronautalis' style. "Boiled Peanuts", an ode to his hometown, wraps the album triumphantly. Don't miss it; there's lots here for fans!
