Brockhampton - All-American Trash (Quick Review)

I feel like not since Odd Future has there been a more unique, quirky, off-beat collection of songs from a collective of musicians that understand how to be unique. There is rapping, singing, interesting beats, and most importantly there are interesting artists present on All-American Trash. Group leader Kevin Abstract has been attracting a ton of buzz and even though he's the defacto leader (much like Tyler, The Creator was with Odd Future) the collection of artists forming Brockhampton stand out in interesting ways. From the R&B tinges of certain members or their varying different rapping styles you get a wide array of talents. About everything on this project comes across really well. I can tell that there was a lot of thought put into the presentation of not only the music but also the visuals that accompany in the digital booklet. It all shows through very nicely. The 13 tracks flow nicely, virtually nothing is bad, and there just isn't anything I find myself wanting to skip. It's rare that a collective of artists come together and make something this good and cohesive in the way this group does. I definitely recommend this one!

Tracks to get started with: "Ben Carson" "Flip Mo" "Home"
*In an attempt to offer more thoughts on and review more singles, mixtapes, and albums we do some "quick reviews". This means you'll get some thoughts on the project, but it probably will not be as in depth as our full fledged reviews.
