Sound In The Signals - Issue Of The Month: We Are Robin Issue #08 (January 2016)
It's time for another issue of the month when I pick one issue from
any current running comic series to highlight. For January 2016 I decided
to pick We Are Robin, issue 08. Read the full feature after the jump.
This issue progresses the series nicely and starts a new story arc. The cover artwork is really cool and instantly eye catching. It is one of the best covers of the month. I think the We Are Robin gang has been a neat addition to the Batverse and with this issue it looks like the series may be on the way to finding their polar opposite rival gang. This issue deals with a Joker enthusiast gone kind of crazy and maniacal in a way that is very fitting of a character heavily influenced by Gotham's number one mad man. From the look of the cover the "Joker" gang is soon to be hitting the streets of Gotham. This is a set-up issue so it isn't the most exciting, but it is an interesting set-up to what will surely be an exciting story for this series. It's also interesting to see more of the impact of what happened in Endgame (the last big Batman versus Joker story). The effects really have rippled through all aspects of Gotham and this issue helps show more of the state of the city and how crazy it's been post Endgame. It's a solid issue and worth checking out!
