Sound In The Signals - Issue Of The Month (March 2015)
After a couple month hiatus this feature has officially returned! It's time for another issue of the month when I pick one issue of the
current month from any current running comic series to highlight. This
month I decided to pick Silk issue 2. Read the full feature after the jump.
The first issue of the series was a really good introduction to the character post Spider-Verse events. I think this second issue really sets the tone. I really like the artwork. Silk is a great character. I really enjoy the personality of the book. It has a really nice identity early on. Marvel has launched a few new female led books lately. This and Spider-Gwen have been my favorites. The addition of Silk to the Amazing Spider-Man universe has opened up a lot of potential for future storylines. I really like the backstory in this issue and some of the awkward moments were pretty funny. I think this issue starts to delve into what I think will be some really good background stories into Silk's life prior to what we learned in the most current run of Amazing Spider-Man. Definitely check this series out while it is new and easy to jump on.
